How to make Hippo with fabric
Total Time: 3 minutes
Introduction
This is a fun wrapping in the shape of a hippo that is easy and reusable. Find a square of fabric at home and make a hippo. The cloth can be used for different purposes depending on what you are wrapping, either gift wrapping or craft wrapping.
Step 1
Spread cloth flat and place gift (or item) 1-2 closer to corner #4.
Step 2
Gather the corners #1, #2, and #3 into an elastic band, and pull each corner up tightly.
Step 3
Knot the short corner #4 while twisting and form a tail.
Step 4
Fold #2 (the longest corner) forward and tuck tip into the elastic band.
Step 5
Knot corners #1 and #3 tightly at the base for eyes and ears. (It doesn’t matter if the order of 4 and 5 is changed.)
Step 6
Spread #2 wide for hippo’s face and tie with a ribbon.
Tip
If you want to smooth the face of the hippopotamus, stuffing a few cotton pads inside will help.
