What you can do with Square Fabric for Farm Animal Crafts
Using technique of square fabric and elastic band, you can make cute farm animal such as calf, lamp, duckling, goat, and more.
No sewing, cutting, or gluing is required, so you can use it for other purposes later.
All you need is square of fabric, elastic band, and googly eyes, and thing to wrap, such as fruit or candy can. Each design takes only a few minutes to 10 minutes to complete.
- What to wrap:
The shape of the item to be wrapped becomes the shape of the animal’s body. Box shapes such as chocolate boxes can be wrapped as well as round shapes such as oranges, apples, and mangoes. - What to wrap it in:
Thinner napkins and bandanas are easier to shape than thicker ones.

How to make Calf Craft with Fabric in 3 minutes
A round object is wrapped in cloth to make a cute calf.
Total Time: 3 minutes
Spread the cloth flat and place the round shape (grapefruit) a few inches closer to the corner #4 of the cloth.
Grasp corners #1, #2, and #3 and tie with an elastic band.
Tie the corner #4 while twisting.
Pull up all other corners (#1, #2, and #3) tightly.
Crumple a tissue into a ball and wrap it with the corner #2.
Tuck the tip of the corner #2 into the elastic band.
Step 7.
Pick the corner #1 and #3 and tie them together (to make ears and forhead).
Step 8.
Spread the corner #2 out and form the round face.
Put googly eyes on the face and your calf is done!

How to make Lamb Craft with Fabric
Materials
- Round item (Grapefruit in the image, is just the right size to wrap with 14″ x 14″ size cloth.)
- Dark colored cloth (17″ x 17″)
- Light colored cloth (14″ x 14″)
- Elastic hair band: (Soft, thick hair bands are preferred))
- Googly eye stickers
- Sticker for nose
- Ribbon
- Tissue or cotton ball (stuffed in the face)
Instruction
Step 1.
Place a dark-colored cloth on top of a light-colored cloth.
Place the round shape a few inches closer to the corner #4 of the cloth.
Step 2.
Grasp corners #1, #2, and #3 and tie with elastic band.
Step 3.
Pull and hold corner #4, and turn it inside out so that the dark-colored corner is visible. Then make a knot tightly while twisting.
Step 4.
Pull up all other corners (#1, #2, and #3 two each) tightly.
Step 5.
Pick only light-colored corner #2 and make a round shape. (or crumple #2)
Step 6.
Cover it with dark-colored corner #2, form a round shape and tuck tip into the elastic band.
Step 7.
Of the #1 and #3 corners, choose only the dark-colored ones and tie them together to make ears.
Step 8.
Pick the light-colored corner #1 and tuck the tip inside the elastic band (between the ear and face), and do the same with the remaining corner #3.
Step 9.
Put googly eyes and nose on the face and tie the neck with a ribbon. Your lamb craft is done!
Farm Animal Crafts collection 3: Goat Craft

Materials
- Round item (Apple size)
- Coth (14″ x 14″)
- Elastic hair band:
- Googly eye stickers
- Sticker for nose
- Ribbon
- Cotton pad
Instruction
Step 1.
Place the round shape (apple) in center of the cloth. Wrap it with the cloth and tie all corners with the elastic band.
Step 2. Pull up all the corners and reserve two corners of the same length for the horns.
Step 3. Take the longest corner and place several pieces of cotton pads over the base of the corner. Cross the two corners each other and tie tightly in the back.
Step 4. Spread the ends of the cloth in step 3 to make ears. Press the face with fingers from both sides to form an inverted triangle.
Step 5. Tie a ribbon around the neck, put eyes and nose and your goat is done!
