Handkerchiefs are a popular souvenir and gift item in Japan, where I was born. They are lightweight, easy to carry, beautiful, and come in a variety of designs. But they are not only used as “handkerchiefs,” they are the perfect material for wrapping small gifts, from round objects to boxes.
Design 1: How to wrap a gift – Flower gift wrapping
How to wrap a gift without wrapping paper?
-Handkerchief gift wrapping-
Total Time: 1 minute
Step 1
Spread out the handkerchief and place the gift in the center.
Step 2
Grab all four corners.
Step 3
Tie all corners together with a hair elastic. (Leave the elastic slightly loose in.)
Then pull the corners up.
Step 4
Take a corner and tuck the tip into the center.
Step 5
Do the same for the other two corners.
step 6
Tighten the loose elastic.
Step 7
Take the remaining cornere and fold it into thirds, and wrap it around the other three corners.
Tuck the end into the elastic.
Step 8
Spread out the petals (three corners) and you are good to go.
