DIY How to make basket liner in five minutes
This page shows two ways of making basket lineOn this page, you will find two ways to make basket liners. Both use squares of fabric as fabric basket liners.
The difference between Design A and Design B :
Design A is a way of wrapping either a basket or bowl with a larger piece of cloth, allowing the top of the basket to be covered by one side of the cloth. Relatively any fabric will do. (Materials: Fabric and two ribbons. )
Design B is for a basket with a handle and uses a smaller size of cloth, such as napkin to make a basket liner. Thin fabrics are preferred. (Materials: Fabric and two elastic band. )
Both takes about five minutes.
Design A: Wrapping basket or bowl in cloth
This design can be used for bowl as well as basket. Wrap it in a square of cloth to make a liner.
It is especially suited for It is particularly suitable as a bread basket liner because the top can be covered with a corner of the cloth.
There is no sewing or glueing involved and this makes them easy to wrap and unwrap, and easy to wash.

How to make a basket liner without sewing
It’s perfect as bread basket, using two handle basket or flat bowl.
Total Time: 5 minutes
Step 1
Spread the cloth out and place the basket (or bowl) vertically in the center.
Step 2
Cover the basket with two diagonal corners of #2 and #4.
Step 3
Take the corner #3 and fold it into three or four parts.
Step 4
At the rim of the basket (or bowl), tie #3 with a ribbon.
Step 5
Bring #1 to the front and do the same to #1.
Step 6
Make a bow with #2 and #4 and you’re ready to put stuff in!
For food
Food can be placed between #2 and #4 to keep warm ♡

Design B: Use Napkin as your round basket liner

Design B is for a basket that has a handle.
It also does not require sewing or gluing and allows you to arrange the basket according to the season and use, such as Easter basket, Mother’s Day basket, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Xmas Gifts. ….. Change the fabric and enjoy seasonal baskets.

No sew round basket liner without sewing
Materials
- 1 basket with one handle
- 2 thin elastic hair bands (about 2″ diameter )
- 1 square fabric
- (About 3 times the size of the basket For example, for a 7″x10″ size basket, 20″x20″- 22″x22″ (Napkin size) cloth might be appropriate. Also it depends on the depth and shape of the basket.)
Instructions
Step 1.
Fold cloth like an accordion.
Step 2.
Pick 3″-4″ from one end of the folded cloth and hold it with basket handle.
Step 3.
Tie folded cloth and the basket’s handle togerher with the rubber band by folding and stretching the band in half, looping one end through the opening and pulling.
Step 4.
Put through the end of cloth under the loop of the elastic.
Step 5.
Spread the end of the cloth and overlap them.
Step 6.
Pull down the end of cloth.
Step 7.
Tuck the overlapped edges into the elastic. Repeat Step 5, 6, and 7 to the other end of cloth.
Step 8.
Pull the center of the cloth to cover the edges of the basket.

The basket in the photo is reused for Easter. (The basket is wrapped with partially dyed white napkin to create a rabbit shape.)
