How to wrap a small box in a minute with fabric
When you wrap a small box with fabric, no tape is needed. All you need is a square of fabric, such as a handkerchief (or pocketchief). It’s easy and simple, and wrapping takes only less than one minute.
The appropriate fabric size is 3 times the size (width + double height) of the gift box.
It’s one of simple and easy box wrapping ideas that can be used for any size gift as long as you have the right size cloth. Also this design makes a bow shape while wrapping a box and a ribbon is not needed.
Choose fabrics from the scraps of fabric you have at home. (Cotton fabrics work well.)
Enjoy sustainable wrapping all year round.

Jewelry box wrapping using pocket chief
The image shows a jewelry box wrapped in a silk-type black pocket chief and rhinestone stickers applied in several places in the knot as a decorative accent.
The pocket chief was a bit large for the box, so the two corner ends are tucked into the knot.
Silky fabric makes gift wrapping gorgeous, but it is a little difficult to get the two ends into the knot. In such cases, loosen the knot once, insert the two ends, and then tighten the knot while pulling the bottom two ends left and right.
Heart-shaped wrapping using handkerchief
The handkerchief in the photo is made of thin, soft cotton. It is slightly stretchable, making it useful for wrapping small sized gifts.
Materials
- Handkerchief
- Hair elastic
- Ribbon
- Rhinestone sticker (optional)
If the adhesive strength of the rhinestone is weak, reinforce the adhesive part of it with an all purpose glue stick to hold it in place without damaging the fabric or ribbon.
