Kitchen towel ideas 1 -How to make Towel Doll
This simple design requires no sewing. Therefore, after the towel is untied, it can be used as is!
How about making a kitchen towel doll and give it as a gift ?
If your kitchen towel has a design and is not suitable for making a face, you can cover the face with a scrap of cloth (such as old T-shirt), that could be used for the face. (Refer to the Halloween craft.)

What to prepare
1 Kitchen towel
1 Ribbon
2-3 cotton pads
1 small towel (face towel)
Step 1
Fold the towel in half, front side up.
Take the short wide end of the kitchen towel and place a few cotton pads under in center, 1 inch below from the edge and tuck the ends from both sides.
Step 2
Place a few cotton pads under it and make a round shape to form the face. Tie the neck with elastic.
Step 3
Roll up the small towel and place little below of the face under.
Step 4
Cover the face with the other side of the end and tie around the neck with another elastic.
Step 5
Tie the body (below the arms) with elastic and spread the skirt.
Step 6
Tie a ribbon around the neck. Arms forward to a sitting position. The doll is now done!

In my experience,, kitchen towels are actually a good material for gift book wrapping because they are strong and thick enough to wrap a heavy book.

No taping or ribbon required. Simple, easy, reusable wrapping.

Materials:
Kitchen towel
Hair elastic
Step 1
Spread kitchen towel out diagonally and place book (or box) in the middle.
Step 2.
Take corner 3, fold it in half (the green dotted line in step 1) and fold it over the book.
Step 3.
Bring corner 1 over to the center of the book.
Step 4.
Grab corner 4 and hold corners 1 and 4 in one hand.
Step 5.
Tie three corners (1, 2, and 4) with an elastic band and pull up tight.
Step 6.
Take one corner and wrap it around your finger and tuck the tip into the elastic.
Step 7.
Take the other corner and wrap it around step 6, tucking the tip into the elastic. Do the same with the remaining corner and you are done!
Kitchen towel ideas 2-2 |Gift book wrapping variation
Here is a variation of the rose wrapping above.
Instead of wrapping around the rosebud and tucking the tip inside the elastic, twist the tips and put both ends through the elastic to create two leaves.
Same steps from step 1 to 5 above.
This wrapping, like the wrapping above, allows a gift card to be inserted in the pocket.
Make a rosebud in the center
With another corner, wrap the rosebud in halfway around and tuck the tip into the elastic.
Cross the other corner and tuck the tip into the elastic. Spread those two tips to make a leaf.
